THE LONDON POLICE NEWS

2009 saw the return of Bob Gibson to The London Police after five years of touring with the band ‘MOSS’ and flipping burgers in a filthy Dutch snack bar. And so the original founding members are re-embarking on their quest to combine making artwork and travelling the globe to better themselves and spread artistic love through the world. The blueprint for this year was to produce solid back-to-basics black and white artworks collaborating the iconic LADS characters drawn by CHAZ with the tight architectural and illustrative landscapes of BOB GIBSON.

IMAGES OF THE YEAR from Brooklyn Street Art

Whether from a rooftop in Bushwick, Brooklyn, a block-long wall in Miami, or the "Art in the Streets" show at LA MOCA, BSA readers got to see a lot of great images this year. Here's a selection of some of the best in 2011 all jammed together in one little video. As you sample this eye-candy platter, dig the staccato soundtrack made of sounds culled from Brooklyn's streets by electro duo Javelin, who spent a day in the Red Hook neighborhood collecting sounds and then mixed them in the back of their car. Released today, the video is top story on Brooklyn Street Art and Huffington Post Arts today. Enjoy!’ text by BSA
